BACK TO D A R K T U L I P | Feat. La Riche Directions X BLEACH London

Yes. You've probably read this before, and it's one of the products that my blog is very popular for. Two days ago, I decided to go back to my favourite hair colour *ever*, which is La Riche Directions in 'Dark Tulip'.

I've been using this hair dye on and off since 2012, after reading a blog post where a girl dyed her hair with green and turquoise (it looked lush!) I just knew I had to try the hair colour, and for the price £3.99, you really cannot go wrong! A few months ago, I decided to buy a small box of the Dark Tulip dyes and I'm so glad I did. I've been contemplating bleaching my hair a bit more so a lot more of it is platinum blonde… However I think that's a little project for the summer ;)

From this:

[[ In case you're wondering how I managed to keep my ombre hair looking nicely blonde without any brassy bits. I used BLEACH London's Silver Shampoo. That shampoo is the ish! I've tried a few other silver shampoos and they didn't do anything for my hair. BLEACH London's Silver Shampoo can turn your hair lilac/silver if you leave it in for 5 minutes (which I did every time I washed my hair). Also, to bleach my hair, I used their Balayage Kit and their White Toner. Do try out their products as they are definitely worth it - and are budget friendly too! ]]

To This:

In the last photo, my camera focused on my hair more and you see how intense the colour is when the light hits it! I just really love the colour and I think I'll probably stick with this colour for a very long time! :)

A few questions answered:

Do I have to bleach my hair beforehand to use La Riche Directions?
No you don't have to, but if you want the colour to really show up on your hair, then it's ideal to bleach your hair so it's at least a mousey brown shade. If you don't bleach your hair, you will get some tint to your hair but it won't be very intense.

How do I use it?
It's different to other dyes that you will find in Boots/Superdrugs, because this is a bit more healthier for the hair. You have to shampoo and condition your hair first, towel dry your hair and then apply the dye (and then rinse it out obviously). By healthy, I mean that this dye doesn't contain any bleach in it, so you can leave it in for as long as you'd like! I usually leave the dye in for an hour at least, so I know the colour will be intense and will definitely last long.

How long does it last?
It depends on how many times you wash your hair. For me, the dye has always lasted for more than 2 months or so, and that's me dying my hair twice a week! One thing I love about this dye is that it doesn't fade to red. I've tried a few different purple pink dyes in my hair, and after about 4 washes, my hair fades to a red shade. But this dye will fade to a purple/pink, which looks nice when it fades too!

Where can I buy it and how much is it?
You can find it at your local Xtras shop (if you're in the UK). If not, you can buy it on Amazon or eBay - and you can find packages where you can buy 4 but with a discounted price :) Make sure to look for a premium seller :)

If you have any more questions, leave them below and I will try my best to answer them for you!
